As usual, the choir is smaller and will rehearse some lighter pieces through the Summer, starting May 15th and culminating in an informal concert on July 3rd. The repertoire includes Vaughan Williams, Gershwin and others.

It's a good opportunity to give singing a go, so come along and try it out. Subscriptions for those joining the term after our May concert are lower: £35 full, £25 concessions and £10 students.

The new term has started. See the Joining page for subscriptions and how to pay.

Rehearsals of Handel's Coronation Anthems are underway. For those wishing to familiarise with the Handel in the interim before hardcopy is available, vocal scores in PDF can be downloaded from here: Zadok the Priest, The King shall rejoice, Let thy hand be strengthened and My heart is inditing.

Learning aids for the Handel, with useful playback facilities for slower/faster tempo and looping selected phrases, are here. Another version, lacking those facilities but using synthesised voices and more closely following our edition, can be found here: Zadok the Priest, The King shall rejoice, Let thy hand be strengthened, My heart is inditing.

The equivalents for Haydn's Mass in Time of War can be found here and here.
