Putney Choral Society (putneychoralsoc.org.uk) is a non-auditioned choir of mixed ages and abilities that tackles a range of choral works by both modern and classic composers. We put on several concerts a year, accompanied by professional soloists and orchestra under the direction of our esteemed musical director Jamie Powe (jamiepowe.com).
The bursary is designed for an aspiring professional singer who sings in the tenor range and wishes to develop their ensemble singing and sight-reading as well as to broaden their knowledge of choral repertoire. The successful individual will take an active role both in rehearsals and concerts. The bursary is open to singers who are in full or part time music education or otherwise training for a career in music. A stipend of £1,500 will be paid in monthly instalments across the period September '26 to early July '27.
